Kazanlak a town with population of 70 000 people, is located in the centre of Bulgaria. It lies in picturesque Rose Valley, situated between the Balkan mountains to the north and the Midland mountains to the south. Kazanlak is world famous for its production of Rose oil. Local industry also includes textile, hydraulic, machine, a factory for cosmetics and string instruments factory.

Nowadays, the vicinity of Kazanlak known as Valley of the Thracian Kings with countless burial mounds and tombs . Here, under the Koprinka dam lies the ancient capital of the Thracian Odrissi State (4 th - 3 rd B.C.) Seuthopolis.

In 2004 the King Seuthes III's mausoleum near Shipka was excavated with all its treasures and is now open to the public - completely preserved researched.

The Kazanlak Thracian Tomb - 4th - 3rd century B.C. The only Thracian tomb in Bulgaria with completely preserved paintings, masterpiece of early Helenic art. Part of the UNESCO list.

The Shipka Memorial Church - 12 km northwards of Kazanlak. Ceremoniously inaugurated in 1902. Built in the 17th century style of Russian churches.

The Shipka Monument of Freedom. - Located at the top of mount Shipka in the Balkan mountains. Built by donations of Bulgarian people in memory of the soldiers killed in the
battles in 1877-78 during the Russian Turkish war.

"ISKRA" Kazanlak History and Art Museum - Shows more that 50 000 exhibits. Shows he treasures from the Seuthes III tomb.
