Each year in the first week of June when the Queen of Flowers, the oil-bearing rose Rosa Damascena Mill, is in full bloom the traditional Rose Festival takes place in the town of Kazanlak.
It is dedicated to beauty, youth and hope. As a long-standing tradition "King Seuthus" and "The Queen Rose" open it ceremoniously on the first day of the festival. And the carnival procession along the town streets mark its gala ending on the final day of the celebrations.
The dates for the Rose Festival 2022 are June 3, 4 and 5.
